Artwork submissions must be sent by August 31, 2024 to be considered. Successful applicants will be notified by September 15 so that they can begin arrangements for travel, shipping, etc. The official opening of the exhibition will occur on December 1, lasting until December 15.

20 art pieces will be selected and exhibited at the ArtsKoCo Gallery, of which 6 will be nominated for exhibition at the 1st European Interstellar Symposium venue. ArtsKoCo will promote and represent selected artists.

Selection will be made based on the following criteria:

• Quality

• Relevance to the exhibition theme (interstellar exploration, deep-space flight, etc.)

• Uniqueness

• Originality

While not disqualifying, weakness in one of the above criteria may reduce chances of selection. On the other hand, submissions will not be considered at all if they do not adhere to the following requirements:

1. The artwork shall not be AI-generated.

2. The artwork shall be finished, or close to completion, by the time of the application. Photographs (not conceptual sketches) of the actual piece are mandatory, in part to gauge the completion of the piece by the time of application. Submissions of incomplete artwork can supplement their application at a later date (though prior to the selection announcement) with evidence of completion.

Up to 3 submissions per artist will be examined.

Exhibition costs will be covered by ArtsKoCo both in the gallery and at the Symposium venue. We only ask artists to pay for shipping of the artwork.

Independent Exhibitors

Optionally, independent exhibitors may wish to exhibit at their cost at the ECCL conference venue during the 4 days conference. ArtsKoCo will charge an exhibition fee of 500 € per linear meter to cover the costs of setting up display hardware, but no commission will be taken from any sale by independent exhibitors.
